My speciality medium is Stop Motion animation, my film Heartwarming has been recognised internationally screening at Stop-e Motion Days Festival in Venice, MIAF, and winning Best Narrative at Next Frame Festival. You will find shots from the film on the final page!

Character Design

Here is a small insight into my character design process! I begin with research and inspiration, decide on a general theme and then move onto basic sketches. Once settled into a focused theme, I explore this in more detailed sketches possibly adding some shading and dimension.

Environmental Sketches

This is a collection of a few environmental sketches designed over the last few years. This was done in the same process used for character design, collecting research and inspiration, general sketches then moving on to focused sketches.

2D and 3D Animation

These were a couple of exercises done in Maya, to learn the program and showcase some basic principles of animation. 3D animation is something I would like to continue to learn and improve on in industry.

Stop Motion Animation

Stop Motion animation is my chosen medium of animation and is where majority of my understanding and execution of animation principals and skillsets can be found. In my final year of university I chose to do a stop motion animated film, which you will find examples of in this section. I went on to win Best Narrative at Next Frame Festival and was extremely excited to see the response to my story. The creation of this film had many challenges, including an extremely small team, but I am proud of the final product and hope you enjoy it too! The film can be sent directly upon request but as it is still going through festival selection I am unable to post it in full on my website!
